Vita brings a classical music and musical theater flavor to the Z Sauce Music mix. Just like our multifaceted character, Lolita from our original musical Stare Into the Mirror, she began crafting her own artistic style in Siberia, Russia, while studying in Music College and performing as a pianist, singer, and actor in The Novosibirsk National Youth Theater. But little did her parents know, Vita was also secretly writing and playing punk rock songs in the band called Siberian Blues, then a part of the legendary Underground Rock Club. Magically, these life experiences brought her to America, to USC Thornton School of Music, Los Angeles, California. Under a full scholarship, Vita studied classical composition, orchestration, and instrumentation with prominent American composers, earning Advanced Studies and Master of Music in Piano Performance degrees.
Vita’s performances/recordings include projects at Symphony Space, Carnegie Hall, Metropolitan Museum of Art, Capitol Records, dual principal roles of Olympia & Nathaniel in the Target Margin Theater production of Sandman, and the title role in the World Premiere of Captain’s Daughter at the St Petersburg, Russia Hermitage Theater as part of the Eugene O’Neill Theater Development Center. Vita was a creator and voice of the Opera Memento radio show on Sirius Radio Classical Voices.
Her original scores, arrangements, and classical music performances are featured in numerous commercials, documentaries and motion pictures such as The Black Sorority Project: The Exodus, and Oscar-nominated Margin Call, just to name a few. One of Vita’s favorites was a creative project where she composed a series of short original string quartet and piano quintet pieces based on the Sirius Radio theme logo in a style of twenty-five classical composers spanning from Handel, Bach to Ives, Stravinsky, Schoenberg, and Boulez.
