Valentina leads the Junior Company, a youth initiative dedicated to training emerging talents through rigorous daily technical programs, fostering creativity, and developing performances exploring diverse contemporary dance languages. She is a faculty member of the Choreography Course, officially recognized by the Calabria Region, and collaborates on various projects involving actors and non-dancers across the region.
In 2011, she debuted as a professional dancer with Anthony Heil Dance Company, a renowned Momix dancer and choreographer. She joined Daniel Ezralow’s dance ensemble and performed in the hit Italian television show Il più grande spettacolo dopo il weekend, hosted by Rosario Fiorello. The following year, she successfully auditioned for Luc Petic Creation and performed in a theatrical dance event in Munich, Germany.
Valentina is a resident dancer with Balletto di Calabria, starring in Multiverso, choreographed by Massimiliano De Luca, at the Teatro Greco in Rome. Over the years, she has contributed to several of De Luca’s original productions, including SKIN (2014) and Con/fine, which was part of the Primavera dei Teatri festival at Teatro Morelli (CS). She continued performing in productions such as Natural Machine and Cantico dei Cantici, the latter co-produced by Roberta Ferrara, artistic director of Equilibrio Dinamico, and presented at the Dance Immersion Festival in Cagli, Italy.
In August 2014, she performed in L’ultima notte a Scolacium at the Armonie d’Arte Festival, under the artistic direction of Cristina Mazzavillani Muti (Catanzaro). From 2015 to 2017, she expanded her international career, participating in Interdans, the prestigious international contemporary dance festival directed by Bert Uyttenhove. There, she performed Le Jardin by Uyttenhove and In the Name of the Father by Luca Signoretti, later restaged at LagoFilmFest in Treviso, Italy. Her work also took her across Belgium—performing in Ghent, Antwerp, and Brussels—before moving to Malta for IDEC Malta, where she performed Lamé, choreographed by Massimiliano De Luca.
She has also collaborated on the production Grace and Dignity, a project led by Balletto di Calabria in partnership with Maura Morales‘ Cooperative. The work was presented at Festival Contemporaneo Move in Krefeld and later restaged in Düsseldorf, Germany.
Returning to Calabria in October 2022, she performed in Massimiliano De Luca’s award-winning production Nessuno si salva da solo, which won the Premio Cerati at the Ramificazioni Festival. She is currently focused on De Luca’s ongoing work Perduta, presented at the DuannuPantu Festival in Aprigliano (CS), which explores themes of eroticism through art.
Valentina is engaged in the latest production of Balletto di Calabria, Lo Spazio Occupato, choreographed by Luca Signoretti.
