Margherita Torri

Margherita Torri graduated as a classical dancer “Imperial Society Teachers of Dancing ISTD” at the “Lorna Wilkinson” dance school in Massa and obtained a professional training diploma as a contemporary dancer and choreographer in Livorno in collaboration with “The School for New Dance Development “In Amsterdam.

Since 2001 she has been a member of the center for professional dancers “Dansens Hus / Dansehallerne” in Copenhagen where Margherita was able to study daily with internationally renowned teachers including Sorella Englund, Fatima Cerqueira, Anders Hellstrom, Aaron Watkins, Tim Rushton, Robert Hewitt, Adi Salant, and many others.

In Denmark, she also studied Pilates and GYROTONIC® alongside dance and she decides in 2005 to start the path to becoming a teacher of GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS®.

Margherita had the opportunity to study with the creator of the method in person Juliu Horvath and with various Master Trainers including Silvia Frosali, Gina Munsterkoetter, Elena Spaziani, Lucrezia Caricola, Leda Franklin, Paul Horvath, Uwe Herbstreit, Igor Abbà, Jackson Kellogg, Don Friedewald.

She is the founder and the Director of the GYROTONIC® Massa studio in her hometown, a large space dedicated to the disciplines of GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS®, equipped with all machinery, where every day she enthusiastically dedicates herself to teaching the GYROTONIC EXPANSION SYSTEM®, to pass to her students the love for movement and helping them to achieve their goals, which are well-being and physical fitness for people of all ages, or specific training for dancers and athletes who, thanks to this method, can achieve their full potential.

She was also selected to become a Pre-Trainer of both GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS® and she has therefore been dedicated to teacher training for several years.
