Simon Le Borgne

Simon Le Borgne is a French dancer and choreographer, trained at the Paris Opera Ballet School (entered in 2005). He joined the Paris Opera Ballet as a supernumerary in 2014, became a company member in 2016, and then rose through the ranks: Coryphée (2019, AROP Dance Prize) and Sujet (2020). He left the Paris Opera Ballet in 2024.

As a performer, he has been associated with major contemporary repertory and creations by leading choreographers, including Crystal Pite (Season’s Canon, Body and Soul), Alexander Ekman (Play), Sharon Eyal (Faunes), and Alan Lucien Øyen (Cri de Cœur), among others.

In parallel, he has developed his own creative path since 2018. He has collaborated on independent projects—one noted example is an in-situ work co-created with Marion Barbeau, La Fille du Fort.

Recently, his author-performer work includes Ad Libitum, created and performed with musician/composer Ulysse Zangs, a duet combining dance and live percussion; it is also presented within the Paris Opera’s programming (young audiences format).

If you tell me where you’ll use this (website/press/program) and the desired length (e.g., 60 / 120 / 200 words), I’ll tailor a “best” version in perfect English (or Italian).
