Sara Zuccari

Sara Zuccari is an Italian dance journalist, critic, historian, and educator, widely recognized as one of the leading voices in Italian dance journalism. She is the founder and editor-in-chief of Giornale della Danza, considered the first major online newspaper in Italy entirely dedicated to dance. 

Trained at the Accademia Nazionale di Danza in Rome, she collaborated from a young age with important dance critics such as Mario Pasi, Alberto Testa, and Vittoria Ottolenghi, developing a long-standing career in dance criticism and cultural journalism. 

Throughout her career, she has worked with major Italian media outlets, including TGCOM24 Mediaset, Sky TG24, RAI, Danza&Danza, and L’Espresso. She was also the author and host of the television program Arabesque and has curated conferences, documentaries, and cultural events related to dance history and criticism. 

Sara Zuccari is also artistic director and curator of several dance awards and cultural initiatives, including the GD Awards and Amalfi Danza International, and has been active in mentoring and promoting young dance talents in Italy.
