Nicola Biasutti

Born in San Daniele del Friuli, Nicola Biasutti began his dance training under Paola Galliussi Ceron in Udine. As a teenager, he embarked on an international career, gaining admission at 14 to the prestigious School of Teatro alla Scala in Milan, from which he graduated. He was later awarded a scholarship to further his studies at the Bolshoi Ballet School in Moscow.

His professional journey began with the corps de ballet at Teatro alla Scala, followed by engagements with the Zurich Opera under the direction of Uwe Scholz and the Dresden Opera during Vladimir Derevianko’s tenure. After concluding his performing career, Biasutti dedicated himself to teaching classical ballet, supported by his pedagogical studies. These culminated in a Master’s degree from the National Ballet School of Canada under the mentorship of Mavis Staines.

He held teaching positions at the Freiburg Theatre and Basel Theatre, contributing to their schools and companies. Since 2006, he has been a faculty member at the renowned John Cranko Schule in Stuttgart, a cornerstone of German ballet, where he has trained some of the finest talents in the European dance scene. In recent years, he has also served as a guest Maître at the prestigious Prix de Lausanne.
