Maurizio Giunti

Maurizio Giunti (Florence, 1992) refined his training between the Junior Balletto di Toscana and Codarts University of the Arts in Rotterdam, developing a practice centered on contemporary dance and improvisation. Since 2012, he has worked as a freelance artist in numerous international projects, bringing his experience to prestigious stages.

Since 2014, he has been a performer and assistant choreographer with the Compagnia Virgilio Sieni. This role has allowed him to engage deeply with the choreographer’s poetics and movement language from within, becoming a key figure in the transmission of his artistic approach. At the same time, Maurizio continues to pursue his own choreographic and performative path, sustained by an ongoing dialogue between creation and teaching.

In this workshop, Maurizio will guide participants through an exploration of Virgilio Sieni’s repertory. The session will offer an opportunity to immerse oneself in the care of gesture, the awareness of space, and the relational dynamics that define the company’s work, providing practical tools for inhabiting movement with both consciousness and technical precision.
