Matteo Mascolo was born in Milan in 1990. He began his professional dance training in
Italy and then continued his studies in New York with the Limón Dance Company.
Currently he is a choreographer and he researches movement as a potential means of
communication and artistic expression. In 2021 he created “Movement happens in waves”
for the Suelo y Aire Festival (Lanzarote, Canary Islands), bringing the same work on stage
in the cultural event Cicatrici in Triennale Milano. During the same year he won the open
call of the A Due Voci Festival with the choreographic work “I demoni di Nietzsche”. In
2022 he created “Rubric”, winning the open call of the XXI Festival de Danza Canarios
Dentro y Fuera (Tenerife, Canary Islands). After that, he made his contemporary work
“Bacchae”, presented at Vapore d’Estate (Milan) and Dap Festival 2023.
