Marion Barbeau is a French dancer born in 1991. From 2002 to 2008, she studies dance in the Paris Opera Ballet school before joining the company in August 2008. She goes up in the hierarchy and becomes a first soloist in 2018. In 2016, she gets the Arop award for best dancer. As a member of the ballet, she performs soloists roles in ballets and Neo classical pieces and participate in many creations, working with Hofesch Shechter, Ohad Naharin, William Forsythe, Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, Crystal Pite, Marco Goecke, Benjamin Millepied, Edouard Lock, Arthur Pita, Pierre Rigal, Alexander Ekman. She is chosen by Cedric Klapisch to be the main character in his film Rise released in March 2022 and is nominated as a best female newcomer by the Académie des Césars. She stars in the first feature film of Baptiste Debraux Moi vivant, vous ne serez jamais mort, set to be released in 2023. She is currently touring in the piece Ne me touchez pas by dancer and choreographer Laura Bachman.
