Luca Ponzanelli was born in Pietrasanta in 1981. Always passionate about surfing, he approached photography at a very young age and after high school he enrolled at the Fondazione Studio Marangoni photography school in Florence. After graduating in 2002, he decided to complete his training in the field of visual communication, graduating in 2009 in Industrial Design.
Combining his desire to travel with his passions, photography and surfing, he creates various photographic projects, the shots of which are published in national and international sector magazines and in national exhibitions. During the lockdowns due to Covid-19 between 2020 and 2021 he also begins to approach videomaking and, collaborating with the dancer Angelica Stella, he creates “La Luce sul Sentiero”, a short film that is selected by the municipality of Versilia, Seravezza, as a promotion of the territory. The video will be screened as part of some events and at the cinema of Seravezza Le Scuderie Granducali throughout the month of August 2021. In December of the same year he began his collaboration with the Dap Festival thanks to the creation of “Pramashwar, the Infinite – Dance of the soul”, presentation video of the homonymous sculpture created by Nicola Stagetti in Pietrasanta.
In 2021 he also decides to start his studies as a computer programmer.
