Jean-Sébastien Colau

Born on March 16, 1977, in Provins, France, Jean-Sébastien Colau trained at the Paris Opera Ballet School and joined the Paris Opera Ballet in 1996. He earned accolades, including a Bronze Medal at the Varna International Ballet Competition and Silver Medals in both Nagoya and Paris competitions. In 2002, he became a soloist with the National Ballet of Canada, receiving a nomination for the William Marrié Award. By 2005, he joined the Leipzig Ballet in Germany, where he was promoted to étoile after his portrayal of Prince Siegfried in “Swan Lake.” Jean-Sébastien has performed internationally and collaborated with renowned choreographers such as Roland Petit and Maurice Béjart. In September 2022, he was appointed Dance Director of the Teatro Massimo in Palermo, Italy.
