Adria Ferrali dances in New York City with the Martha Graham Dance Company, the Martha Graham Ensemble, and the Pearl Lang Dance Theater.
She was awarded the Nijinsky Prize as best dancer and choreographer at the Kyiv National Opera house. At the Kyiv Opera house, she also represented Italy as a guest of honor at the Serge Lifàr Grand Galà in 2003. In Europe, she worked as an assistant to Yuriko at the Dutch National Ballet in Amsterdam. From 2000 until 2007, Adria worked in Copenhagen as a guest teacher and choreographer at the Royal Danish Ballet School.
In 2004 she was invited as a guest teacher and choreographer at the Accademia Teatro Alla Scala in Milano. She was also a guest teacher at the University College of Dance in Stockholm for both the dance and the academic departments. In the USA, under the commissioning of Yuriko Kikuchi, she restaged the Martha Graham Ballet “Diversion of Angels” at Boston Conservatory, and in 2012 she was assisting Susan Kikuchi in the reconstruction of Graham’s Ballet “Steps in the Street” at Skidmore College Saratoga Springs.
She was a guest choreographer and guest teacher at Montgomery Ballet from 2009 until 2012 and taught a series of Master Classes at Alabama State University. She was also a jury member in many international contests such as the “VII International Contest for Choreographers and Ballet Masters” in Novosibirsk. In 2012/2015 she is invited as a guest choreographer, jury member, and guest teacher at Kemerovo State University in Siberia. Adria was Chair in contemporary dance and choreography at Ballet Academy Gothenburg in Sweden from 1998 until 2005. She was a faculty member at “Die Etage” and at “Tanzakademie Balance 1” in Berlin, a faculty member at “Dansewerkstaedet” in Copenhagen as well as at the “Cecchetti Academy” in Ravenna and “Teatrodanza” in Cremona. In 2010 she founded the Pietrasanta in Danza International Festival. Her choreography featured on stage at the Royal Danish Theater, the Opera House at Kennedy Center in Washington DC, the National Opera House in Kyiv, the Thalia Theater, the Stora Teatern, and the Atalanta Theater in Gothenburg Sweden, the Drama Theater, Kemerovo Siberia, the Davis Theater Montgomery AL, the Performing Arts Center Montgomery AL, the Museum of Modern Art in Montgomery AL and the Festival La Versiliana in Pietrasanta, the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino at Villa Strozzi in Florence, the Dante Alighieri Theater in Ravenna, the Arena in Cremona and the Cremona Summer Festival, the Greco Theater in Rome and the Festival Estate Regina in Montecatini Terme, The Pietrasanta in Concerto and the Italian Embassy in Moscow. In 2013 she was entitled Director of the Modern Dance Department of the Alabama River Region Ballet USA. In 2016 she was invited to teach for a semester as Visiting Professor at Troy University.
In 2017 Adria idealized and produced the DAP Festival “Danza in Arte a Pietrasanta”. Her artistic direction highlights various expressions of contemporary dance in the theaters and artistic venues of the city.
