Ella Rothschild was born in Israel in 1984 and is an active dancer and choreographer in the Tel-Aviv dance scene. Ella has worked with Israel’s most prominent dance companies as a creator, dancer, and teacher. She has choreographed independently and collaborated with musicians, video artists, and sculptors. Rothschild has been dancing with Inbal Pinto, Avshalom Pollak Dance Company, and Batsheva Dance Company under the artistic direction of Ohad Naharin. Currently, Rothschild is dancing for Crystal Pite/Kidd Pivot. Since 2010, Rothschild has been creating her works with various artists from different disciplines. Her work integrates dance, visual art, and music experimentation. In 2016 Rothschild received the Rosenblum Performing Arts Award by the city of Tel-Aviv for promising creator of 2016 and the Ministry cultural award of 2016. During 2016 continuing to 2018 Rothschild works Acord, 12 Postdated Checks, Judah, Jesus With Soy, Sal, Flood, Dood, and IMO the mouth is redundant performing in New York, Tokyo, and Tel-Aviv. In 2018 Ella created Feed, for Cia Eliane Fetzer de Danca Contemporanea (Curitiba, Brazil) and Timeline for Balletto Teatro di Torino Dance Company (Torino, Italy). Rothschild’s latest production Futuristic Space premiered and opened the festival Dance, Dance, Dance Yokohama 2019 at the Red Brick Theater in Yokohama, Japan.
