Davide Iacobone

Davide Iacobone is an international dancer, teacher, and choreographer. He began studying dance at a young age, exploring multiple disciplines—from sport dance to urban styles and eventually academic and contemporary dance—gradually developing his own movement research and artistic language.

After earning a degree in Design from the Politecnico di Milano and gaining experience in the communication field, he deepened his contemporary dance training through periods of study with national and international companies, including Scapino Ballet Rotterdam, as well as workshops with leading choreographers and methods such as Kidd Pivot, Gaga, and repertory connected to Marco Goecke.

Over the years, he has participated in numerous international festivals as both performer and choreographer in cities such as London, Giessen, and Bremerhaven, expanding his artistic research within international creative environments.

Since 2019, he has developed his personal artistic project, Bhava Dance Project, producing La Morale degli Schiavi, which received first prize as an emerging company in international contexts. He later created Inconsistent Systems for the opening of the MIX Festival in Milan, and in 2021, he was awarded a Black Box residency at Balletto di Siena, where he presented Caleidoscopio.

In 2022, he created This Is Not a Chair, a Story About Pigs, Apples and Souls for Balletto di Firenze, and in the same year, he was selected for Solocoreografico Frankfurt, where his work Shadows Inside received a strong critical response.

In recent years, Iacobone has continued to develop choreographic projects presented internationally, including performances at Resolution Festival (The Place, London) and collaborations with The Bridge Pigato Contemporary and the Rambert School. He currently serves as Artistic Director of Formazione TAM, a professional contemporary dance training program connected to the Accademia Ucraina di Balletto, based at Teatro Arcimboldi di Milano and Teatro Carcano. His creations with Formazione TAM, including Se cade un albero and Carmen, have been presented within the Teatro Carcano season.

Alongside his choreographic activity, he collaborates as a teacher and mentor with numerous professional dance institutions across Italy and internationally, continuing his research on movement, perception, and performance practice.
