Asia Matteazzi is an exceptionally talented and passionate Italian ballet dancer, known for her grace, precision, and captivating performances. Born on July 3, 2003, in the beautiful city of Padua, Italy, Asia embarked on her ballet journey at age 4. Her dedication and commitment to her craft led her to the renowned “Accademia Teatro alla Scala” in Milan, where she began her formal ballet training in the 4th grade in 2017. Under the expert guidance of directors Frederic Olivieri and Maurizio Vanadia, Asia honed her skills and developed a deep understanding of the art form. She completed her studies at the academy with distinction and received her graduation on June 11, 2022.
Asia’s professional career took flight in 2023 when she joined the esteemed Teatro alla Scala as part of their corps de ballet. Since then, she has graced the stages of some of the most prestigious theaters around the world, leaving audiences in awe with her breathtaking performances.
Her repertoire includes a wide range of roles, showcasing her versatility and technical prowess. From the enchanting “Nutcracker” by Rudolf Nureyev, where she danced in the roles of Valzer and Snowflakes, to the captivating “Le Corsaire” by Manuel Legris, portraying the roles of slaves and the vibrant “Jardin animé,” Asia has demonstrated her ability to captivate audiences with her artistry.
Her talent has taken her to various international stages, including the Théatre antique d’Orange, where she flawlessly executed the role of one of the 24 swans in Rudolf Nureyev’s “Il Lago dei cigni.” In addition, she has showcased her skills in productions such as “Romeo and Juliet” by Kenneth Macmillan and “La Bayadere” by Rudolf Nureyev, where she portrayed roles like the third shade and Pas D’action.
