Alanna Archibald began her dance training at the age of 7 in Los Angeles, California, with the Yuri Grigoriev School of Russian Ballet. At 15, she was chosen by audition to continue both her academic and dance training at the Los Angeles County High School of the Arts while continuing her private coaching with Julia Bourlina, former dancer of the Kirov Ballet. At 16, she was chosen to be one of 20 students accepted to the Rudra Bejart School and Atelier in Lausanne Switzerland, studying ballet, modern, percussion, and vocals. After completing the 2-year school program, she was recruited in the company, Bejart Ballet Lausanne, and worked as a Soloist, performing throughout the world. After 13 years with the company, she transitioned to become freelance in Europe cities such as Amsterdam, Lausanne, and Paris. She works currently with choreographer Sedrig Dimitri Verwoert, (former in-house choreographer for HET National) in pieces such as Within/Without, The Ritual, and Strange Fruit 2.0.
