Curatorial Statement
“Dance honors fragility as the place where our deepest humanity is most visible. In a time that fears imperfection, the body on stage speaks powerfully: it is precisely where we break apart that love finds its form.”
On the occasion of the 10th edition of the DAP Festival – Danza in Arte a Pietrasanta, a new original work has been commissioned and produced specifically for the Museo Mitoraj, a landmark space dedicated to contemporary sculpture and artistic exchange. Framed by the museum’s inaugural exhibition of Igor Mitoraj, the project unfolds as a dialogue between memory, myth, and the present, where classical imagery meets contemporary sensibility. The creation aligns with the DAP Festival’s curatorial vision, fostering encounters between contemporary dance and visual arts while activating Pietrasanta’s most emblematic sites as spaces for cultural production, aesthetic connection, and engaged audience experience.
